A Christian Experience Weekend is to strengthen and enrich your relationship with God. A special time and place, away from the busy routine of daily living, is provided where a true Christian community will develop in a variety of ways. The Christian Experience Weekend is not a retreat consisting of silence and meditations. It is rather a shared Christain experience, which grew out of the realization that the Christian life has to be experience before it can be appreciated.
The weekend is intended for any person who would like to grow in terms of the kind of Christian he or she is; the person who is looking for more in life - the "fullness of life and joy" which Jesus came to bring us. A team of lay people, priest, deacons, and sisters conduct the weekend. The weekend includes: talks and discussions; special services and Mass; and time for reflection, good food and fun.
The weekend begins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday evening and ends at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. Everything is held at Prince of Peace School. Part of the community experience is sleeping in a large room on mats and sleeping bags. Special arrangements are possible if requried. Attendance is limited by the facility.
